Our Team

  • Andrew Vanderschoor

Andrew (aka “Vanda”) is our brilliant & much-loved Manager! Andrew has been on the team here at camp for 23 years and he and his family live on-site. He’s a bush-bashing, art-loving, hilarious, bug-fanatical, devoted Jesus follower. Vanda has poured much of himself out into Wedderburn Christian Campsite over the years.

  • Paul Muilwyk

Paul is our fantastic Assistant Manager! He has worked at WCC for 18 years and is the clever mind behind the back-end admin required to make your camp enjoyable and smooth. If he’s not answering emails, on the phone, or building programs, you might find Paul down at camp welcoming people on site or instructing an activity.

  • Kath Taylor

Kath has been a highly valued part of our team for 17 years. Affectionately known as the “camp mum”, she is always quick to show kindness. You could find Kath in the office handling finances or cleaning the grounds. Predominantly though, you’ll find her in the heart of camp (the kitchen) preparing delicious food from scratch!

  • Tim Longley

Tim has been on staff at camp for 4 years. Tim is a former trainee and has studied Outdoor Education. He works full-time on the ground at camp and has a keen interest in learning new skills and has an obvious love of the outdoors. Tim’s upbeat attitude and engaging communication style is an asset to our camp environment.

  • Corey McMahon

Corey is one of our awesome team members! Corey is a former trainee and has studied Outdoor Education. He works full-time on the ground at camp and is extremely skilled at relating to young people. His “punny” sense of humour combined with his diligent outdoor rec skills make Corey a vital part of our team.

  • Eloise Carey

Eloise has joined our team in 2023 as a trainee! Eloise is enjoying working in outdoor rec, implementing her new skills and is also involved in our bush regeneration practices. Her love of sport, caring nature and strong work ethic has seen her quickly become a very valuable part of the team.

  • Will Vander Noord

Will has joined our team as a Ministry Intern! The 12 month Ministry Internship will provide Will with support and mentoring in his commitment to growing in his knowledge of Christ, developing his leadership skills, and learning how to pastorally care for others. Will will be studying whilst also being involved in various camp operations such as holiday adventure camps, and activity programs.
